Lightning Speed
A Lightning strike only occurs for a very short period of time, 2-300 microseconds. One microsecond is to a second what a minute is to 23 months.
Lightning Locations
A sideflash often happens when lightning strikes a building or a tree. Instead of the current travelling straight to the ground, it flashes across to a better conductor nearby.
